Overview
For medium to high volume stamping production, a transfer press will be used to hold a single die or multiple dies, completing the stamping process within a single press.
Transfer presses are suitable for large or complex parts that require several dies for completion, but don’t allow for progressive tooling. Examples include frames and structural components for automotive, medical, appliance, and electronic industries.
Features
The key feature of transfer presses is the movement of the parts from one operation to the next in a fully automated manner.
The heart of the line is the transfer system that moves the parts in a continuous mode. SEYI transfer presses can integrate with all types of transfers, including tri-axis or cross-bar systems.
Servo presses are being used more and more for transfer applications due to improved synchronization with the transfer system in continuous motion. When speeds of 18 SPM or greater are required, servo presses offer many advantages.
