SEYI Collaborates with Suppliers to Achieve Greenhouse Gas Inventories Milestone, Showcasing Corporate Sustainability
As global climate change intensifies, SEYI Machinery (4533TT) is actively supporting the government’s net-zero carbon emission goals by participating in the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Large Enterprises Leading Small Enterprises in Low-Carbon Transformation” project. SEYI has not only completed its own greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory and verification but has also collaborated with ten key suppliers from sectors including welding, casting, steel plate materials, and parts processing. Together, they are driving a low-carbon transformation, gaining an in-depth understanding of the sources of their carbon emissions and mastering the relevant regulations and methods for GHG inventory and verification. This effort lays the foundation for both the company and its supply chain to achieve their carbon reduction goals, while also strengthening the sustainability and competitiveness of the machine tool industry.

As a key member of the industry association’s E (Environmental) Committee, SEYI is dedicated to supporting the industry’s net-zero carbon goals. Chairman Claire Kuo stated: “International markets are placing increasing emphasis on environmental standards. Export markets will soon face green trade barriers, and companies that fail to meet carbon emission standards will lose their competitive edge in global trade. SEYI views this project as a critical step in strengthening its international competitiveness. By conducting a joint carbon inventory with our suppliers, we are gaining insights into carbon management across the supply chain, enhancing our future competitive advantage in international trade.”

Through the professional guidance of Feng Chia University’s Carbon Neutral Research and Service Center, SEYI has pinpointed the primary sources of its carbon emissions and established a clear carbon emission hotspot report. Additionally, SEYI has also received specific reduction recommendations for these hotspots. “We are deeply aware of our corporate social responsibility and understand that low-carbon transformation is key to our sustainable development. Through this project, SEYI has already proposed specific carbon reduction strategies for various production stages, such as optimizing energy use, improving production efficiency, and introducing low-energy equipment,” added President Steven Lee.
SEYI recognizes that only a synchronized transformation across the entire supply chain can truly achieve the goal of carbon neutrality. Through this project, SEYI and its suppliers have not only fostered closer collaboration but have also reached a consensus on low-carbon technologies and management. Dr. Leu, Hoang Jyh,, Director of the Carbon Neutral Research and Service Center at Feng Chia University, commented: “SEYI is a forward-looking company, willing to invest resources in carbon management and actively drive transformation within the supply chain. Through our professional guidance, we have established a comprehensive carbon management system and provided the necessary technical support and resources for suppliers, jointly creating a low-carbon industrial ecosystem.”
SEYI’s participation in the “Large Enterprises Leading Small Enterprises in Low-Carbon Transformation” project is only the first step in its long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality. In the future, the company will continue to maintain close collaboration with the government, academic institutions, and suppliers, aiming to further reduce GHG emissions and promote the development of green manufacturing technologies. At the same time, the company will continuously explore innovative solutions, introducing low-carbon stamping products to drive the entire supply chain toward low-carbon transformation, advancing towards a greener and more environmentally friendly industrial development model.
