SEYI Servo Press, the first servo press awarded CE Marking by TÜV Rheinland in Taiwan

Last September, SEYI's servo press was awarded the EU CE certification in accordance with the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive, and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive. SEYI is the first Taiwanese servo press maker to complete the certification process with TÜV Rheinland.

CE certification for dangerous machinery requires multiple directives and third-party assessments, generally consisting of three key directives: the Machinery Directive (hazard identification guidelines, stamping press standards, and safety circuits), the Low Voltage Directive (electrical regulations for machinery), and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (no electromagnetic interference with other equipment). Stamping presses should follow all key directives to ensure safety during the product life cycle from design to operation. SEYI took the lead in cooperating with TÜV Rheinland and adopting EN ISO 16092-1 to enhance the safety requirement.

TÜV Rheinland conducted a comprehensive safety assessment and verification process for SEYI's servo presses, which included training, technical meetings, corrective actions for deviations, and preparation of the Technical Construction File (TCF). As a result, SEYI and TÜV Rheinland overcame various technical challenges during the verification process so that the machinery could ultimately be certified as compliant with the requirements of EU directives. |
