MFC Metal Forming Manufacturing: Guangzhou Yiguan Precision: Partnering with SEYI to Build Smart Manufacturing Stamping Line

In early September 2024, with the assistance of SEYI Machinery Industrial Co., Ltd., a journalist from Metal Forming Manufacturing interviewed Mr. Li Xiaolong, the general manager of Guangzhou Yiguan Precision Technology Co., Ltd. The focus of the interview was to gain insights into the company’s smart stamping line.

Guangzhou Yiguan Precision Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise based in Guangzhou, established in 2005. Its predecessor was Dongguan Yiguan Precision Hardware Technology Co., Ltd. The company specializes in the manufacturing of large precision stamping parts, sheet metal parts, and lathe components. We integrate design, research and development, manufacturing, and sales, and are recognized as a national-level specialized and innovative enterprise, a high-tech enterprise, an innovative SME, and a technology-based SME.
Guangzhou Yiguan Precision covers an area of 100 acres and employs over 600 staff. Our main products include various devices such as TFTLCD/TV/NB/PC/LED televisions and monitors, communication equipment, power supplies, and more. Specifically, we produce TV back panels, front frames, rear covers, heat-dissipating aluminum strips, and precision hardware components for TV peripherals. Our products are widely used in industries such as display, communication equipment, medical devices, smart education equipment, and smart banking equipment.

● MFC: This morning, we conducted aerial photography of the factory, and we were impressed by the number and density of production lines. Could you briefly introduce the company's production equipment?

Guangzhou Yiguan Precision Technology Co., Ltd. is equipped with advanced production lines and machinery. As of September 2024, we have 15 C-frame stamping press lines, straight-side stamping lines, and hydraulic stamping lines, totaling 75 hydraulic and mechanical presses (both dual-axis and single-axis). Among them, SEYI’s production lines account for 8 lines, with the largest tonnage being a SEYI SNS2 series 1300-ton stamping press. In addition, we have 3 fully automated powder coating lines, 3 automatic laser welding machines, and 1 automatic cleaning line for display units.
Yiguan Precision also possesses a range of advanced inspection equipment, including 3D and 2.5D measuring machines, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, height rulers, universal angle rulers, torque meters, push-pull gauges, thickness gauges, thread gauges, and salt spray testers. These tools ensure comprehensive and accurate measurement and inspection throughout the production process.
● MFC: How has the cooperation between Yiguan Precision and SEYI been?
Since 2020, Yiguan Precision has been working with SEYI Machinery. We first introduced a fully automated stamping production line using a SEYI SNS2 series 400-ton press, primarily for producing 43-inch TV back panels. This series is ideal for processing thin steel sheets and continuous die parts, performing tasks such as blanking, punching, bending, and forming. It supports both single-station and continuous die stamping and can be operated through manual, robotic arms, or conveyor systems for stamping.
The success of this first automated line led us to add 7 more automated stamping lines, including the industry's first 1,300-ton automated smart stamping line. This was a result of joint efforts between Yiguan and SEYI, which solved the inefficiency problem of using hydraulic presses for producing 86-inch back panels. As far as I know, there is currently no other integrated stamping machine of such high tonnage available in the market. Yiguan Precision directly purchased two 1,300-ton production lines, driven by our trust in SEYI.

Now, Yiguan Precision boasts fast mold opening, sample delivery capabilities, rapid mass production, and industry-leading delivery times. This is undoubtedly due to the stability and flexibility of SEYI's 8 smart production lines, which provide strong support for Yiguan to handle orders, mass production, and the customized needs of multiple specifications and sizes.
With the automation of the stamping process, we can focus more on strict quality control. At every critical stage of the production line, there are quality inspection points. We use high-precision measuring equipment, such as 3D and 2.5D measuring machines and height gauges, to ensure that the dimensions and appearance of the products meet stringent quality standards.

● MFC: What is Yiguan Precision's automated production line developed with SEYI like? What are its features?

The automated production line that Yiguan Precision Technology Co., Ltd. developed in collaboration with SEYI integrates multiple advanced automation technologies to enhance production efficiency and product quality. A typical production line includes the following features:
• Automatic Feeding Machine: This automatically feeds material sheets onto the conveyor belt continuously, without the need for manual labor, improving the efficiency and accuracy of material transportation.
• Dual Rack Material Feeding and Robotic Handling: The dual rack system supports high-speed stamping by providing a continuous supply of materials, reducing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted production. Robotic arms are used to pick and place materials between different workstations, enhancing the automation and accuracy of the production process.
• In-line Flipping and Riveting Machines: The flipping machine automatically turns over back panel components during the stamping process. Automated riveting equipment performs fast and precise riveting operations on the line, ensuring high-quality and consistent connections.
• In-line Servo Tapping Machine: Powered by a servo motor, the tapping machine allows for adjustable parameters such as pitch, depth, and thread type via the control screen. It performs high-precision threading operations directly on the production line with efficiency and accuracy.

We plan to continue expanding our production capacity by introducing more advanced equipment and technologies to meet market demands. At the same time, we will strengthen our investment in R&D, continuously upgrading our production lines and improving our processes. In our future collaborations with SEYI on production lines, we will place even more emphasis on environmental protection and energy efficiency. We plan to use low-energy equipment, reduce waste and emissions, and ensure compliance with ISO14001 environmental management system requirements.

This will help optimize production planning and inventory management, improving our ability to respond quickly to market changes.
